The George Bannerman Dealey Montessori Vanguard and International Academy (Dealey) PTA is hosting it's fourth annual silent auction and casino night to raise funds to help with ongoing school programs and improvements -which are currently either underfunded or on indefinite hold. Our efforts from last year, raised $20,000 and helped purchase cafeteria tables, smart boards, playground seating and a storage shed for the school.
Dealey is an EXEMPLARY rated magnet school home to over 600 exceptional, diverse students-living in over 42 zip codes from throughout the Dallas area. Unfortunately, we are not entitled to any federal funding or economic stimulus funds due to our “magnet” status. This results in very tight day to day operational budgets and renders non essential enrichment or improvements for the school frankly unobtainable.
This year, we have set our fund-raising goal at another $ 20,000!!! We would like to facilitate purchases so wish list items become a reality for our school. Our "Walk the Red Carpet" event is scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Council 799 Knights of Columbus Hall on Northwest Highway.
Please consider supporting our event by donating a gift certificate, merchandise or service. In exchange, you will receive some excellent community exposure and advertising. You may also purchase advertising in the bidding brochure and/or make a cash contribution for sponsorship of one of our casino tables. Your donation is fully tax-deductible (please check with your tax adviser) and we will send you a donation letter for your records after the auction.
